Steady Start Fuels Strong 10K Finish in Boulder Mark Worsley completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 51:08, an average pace of 8:14 per mile, finishing 197th overall out of the field of 3,071. Worsley opened with a strong first two miles, clocking 8:06 and 7:46, before settling into a steady rhythm through miles three and four. His fastest mile came between miles two and three, at 7:52, showing solid pace control early in the race. The final mile slowed to 9:16, a common trend as fatigue set in late in the race. Given Boulders elevation above 5,000 feet, Worsleys ability to hold sub-8:15 pace for the majority of the race speaks to strong pacing discipline. A slightly more even effort in the closing mile could help him build on this performance in future races.
