Fast Start Fuels Strong Denver Finish Robert Dalton crossed the line in 40:19, placing 24th overall and 18th among men in the 3,071-runner field, while finishing 2nd in the M20-24 division. His race opened with a brisk 5:52 opening mile, the fastest stretch of his 10K, before settling into a steady rhythm through the middle miles. Pace held between 6:13 and 6:32 for miles two through five, showing consistent effort across the bulk of the course. The closing mile eased slightly to 7:38, a natural cooldown after a well-paced effort through the first five miles. Dalton's race concluded on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting finish at over 5,000 feet of elevation. With his early pace and division standing, there's room to consider a slightly more even split next time out.
