Strong Front Half Carries Him Into the Top 2% at Boulderthon Jack Egan finished the half marathon in 1:27:50, placing 106th overall and 94th among men in a field of 7,223. Egan built a smooth, controlled pace through the first ten miles, holding between 6:07 and 6:30 per mile and reaching that point in 1:05:07. Mile 11 slowed to 8:09, but he answered with back-to-back 6:54 miles to close out the race, finishing with an overall pace of 6:42 per mile. His fastest mile was the very first, at 6:07, setting an efficient tone early. The 2026 half marathon course carried nearly 50% less net elevation gain than in prior years, a notable factor given Boulders elevation above 5,000 feet.
