Fast Start Fuels Top Finish in Boulder 5K Szymon Gajda crossed the line in 21:10, placing 98th overall and 74th among men in the 2026 Boulderthon 5K, a result that lands him in the top tier of the 2,677-runner field. His race was defined by an aggressive opening mile of 5:51, the fastest stretch of his day, before easing to 6:22 through mile two. The final mile slowed to 8:15, a sharp shift from the pace he set early. With Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, that opening mile stands as the highlight of the effort. Gajda might consider a more even split between miles one and two next time, saving a bit more for the closing stretch.
