Strong Start Carries Through Boulder Marathon Despite Late Fade Morgan Stuart finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:35:32, averaging 10:30 per mile. The first 13 miles clipped along near a steady 9:10 pace, with miles 10-11 standing out as the fastest sustained stretch of the race, both dipping into the 8:30s-8:40s range. From mile 14 onward, the pace gradually eased, with the back stretch from mile 17 through 25 settling into the 11-14 minute range before a strong final mile brought Stuart home at 10:30. Boulder's elevation sits above 5,000 feet, a backdrop worth noting given the steady effort held through the marathon's midsection. The course finished on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting close to a race built on early strength.
