Fast Start Fuels Strong Half-Marathon Showing Blaise Wabo finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:34:05, placing 203rd overall and 166th among men out of the field of 7,223. That result improves on his 2024 finish of 1:36:13, though it trails his 2025 time of 1:31:22. Wabo opened briskly, running his first two miles at a 6:39 average pace, the strongest sustained stretch of his race. He held in the low 6:40s through mile four before easing gradually, drifting into the high 6:50s and 7:00s by mile eight. The stretch past mile nine, near the lululemon Power-Up Zone around mile 9.5, saw his heaviest fade, with splits reaching into the high 7:30s and 7:40s. He found a bit more life at mile 12 before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a city sitting above 5,000 feet of elevation.
