Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Lucy Dryhurst #41172 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Fuels Steady 5K Finish Lucy Dryhurst completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 29:57, an overall pace of 9:39 per mile. Dryhurst's race showed a clear shape: an opening mile at 10:18, a sharp pickup to 8:19 for mile two, then a settling back to 10:23 for the closing mile. That second mile stood out as her strongest stretch of the race, a solid surge in the middle of the course. Finishing on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, Dryhurst capped a race run at altitude, with Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet. Going forward, she might look to carry that mile-two rhythm through the final stretch for a more even finish.
