Steady Half Effort Through Boulder's Backroads Lilly Reed finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 2:41:54. Her opening mile clocked 11:43, and she held pace in the 11:45-12:15 range through the first four miles before a slower fifth mile (14:12) nudged her cumulative pace to 12:21. From there, Reed settled into a consistent rhythm, oscillating between 11:48 and 13:25 per mile, and closed strong with an 11:48 final mile her fastest mile-plus stretch of the back half to bring her cumulative pace back down to 12:22 min/mile at the finish. Reed's race took her out past Boulder Reservoir and along Boulder County backroads before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall, all at over 5,000 feet of elevation. Her closing mile suggests strong reserves left for the finish, and building more consistency across the middle miles could offer an opportunity to unify that late speed across the full distance in future races.
