Big Improvement Fuels Strong Half Marathon Finish Tobi Momoh ran 1:51:41 in the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon, an improvement of over 30 minutes from his 2:22:31 finish in the 2023 edition of the same race. His pace held remarkably steady across the distance, opening with miles 15 covered in roughly 8:21 per mile the race's most consistent stretch before a brief dip through miles 6 and 11. He closed strong, dropping to 8:17 and 7:55 over the final two miles to finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. This year's half marathon course carried nearly 50% less elevation gain than in past editions, down to 203 feet, a factor that suits Momoh's even, disciplined pacing strategy. Given his strong closing miles, he could consider pushing the pace slightly earlier next time to test what that late kick might yield over a longer stretch.
