Fast Start Carries Josh Home in Boulder 10K Josh Sweet finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 49:54, an 8:03 min/mile pace, finishing 166th overall out of the field of 3,071. Sweet's race was front-loaded, opening with a 7:31 first mile and holding a 7:26 cumulative pace through mile two. From there, each mile ticked slightly slower 7:54, 8:19, 8:16 before a final mile of 8:52 closed things out, nudging his overall pace to 8:03. That opening two-mile stretch stands as the strongest stretch of the day, run comfortably under 7:30 pace before the gradual fade set in. With the race finishing on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, sitting above 5,000 feet, Sweet's early pace held up well before conditions took their toll over the back half.
