Strong Front Half Fuels Solid Marathon Debut Finish Sophia Nevin crossed the line in 3:51:15, placing 255th overall and 46th among women in the field of 3,305 at the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon. Her race opened fast and even, holding between 7:38 and 8:12 per mile through the first 13 miles, with mile 13 standing out as her quickest of the day at 7:38. That opening half built a cumulative pace near 7:56 per mile at the midpoint, a pace she couldn't fully sustain as the back stretch brought slower miles from 21 to 25, before closing with a 9:34 final mile. Running out past Boulder Reservoir and finishing on the Pearl Street Mall, Nevin's race unfolded at altitude, with Boulder sitting over 5,000 feet. Her disciplined early pacing through the first 13 miles is a real asset to build from for future marathons.
