Steady Pacing Fuels a Strong Half Marathon Finish Greg Eccher finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:42:04, placing 420th overall and 335th among men in a field of 7,223. Eccher opened with an 8:22 first mile before settling into a steady rhythm in the high 7:50s through the middle miles. His pace tightened further over the closing miles, highlighted by a strong 12th mile in 7:11, the fastest mile of his race, before he brought it home with a 7:27 final mile en route to an overall pace of 7:47 per mile. This year's course trimmed net elevation gain by nearly half, down to 203 feet, a notable adjustment given Boulder's mile-high altitude.
