Steady Pace Fades Late in 10K Finish Nathan Rodaway crossed the line in 1:13:45 for the 10K, closing out his race with a finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. His pace built steadily through the race, opening with a strong first mile at 10:20 that proved to be his fastest of the day. From there, mile splits gradually lengthened10:44, 12:07, 11:50, 12:09before a final mile of 14:19 closed things out. That cumulative pattern shows an early rhythm that eased kilometer by kilometer, worth a look for pacing strategy in future starts at Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, where the thinner air adds its own demands on effort management from the gun.
