Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Aspen Wallace #40268 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers a Steady 5K Finish Aspen Wallace completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 30:26, covering the course at an overall pace of 9:49 per mile. Her race unfolded in three distinct phases: a solid opening mile at 9:48, a notable surge through mile two at 8:33, and a settling pace of 11:05 to close things out. That middle mile stood out as her fastest stretch of the day, showing a strong ability to pick up speed once warmed up. Boulder's elevation, sitting above 5,000 feet, makes any sustained pace a real accomplishment, and Aspen's early wake-up call came with a 7:45 AM start alongside the rest of the 5K field. With her race finishing on the historic Pearl Street Mall, she can take pride in a well-paced effort with a clear highlight in that second mile a strong building block for future races.
