That's nearly nineteen minutes faster, moving him from 1,439th overall to well inside the top 5% of the field this year. The race unfolded as a steady build: after an 8:21 opening mile, Harris settled into the 7:30-8:30 range through the middle miles before dropping into sub-7:10 pace from mile 8 onward. His strongest stretch came from mile 8 to mile 11, covering three miles in roughly 21:04 an average near 7:01 per mile. He closed with a 6:15 final mile, capping the effort at altitude with his fastest sustained running of the day.
