Steady Pace Carries Her to a Strong Finish Jade Irizarry-Swordy ran 1:39:27 to finish 332nd overall and 64th among women in the half marathon, a result that placed her in the races top 10%. Her mile splits held mostly in the 7:20s and 7:30s through the middle miles, with a brief dip near miles 1011 before she closed with a 7:25 final mile, her fastest of the race. Boulders elevation above 5,000 feet makes that closing pace especially notable, coming after ten-plus miles that included a pass through the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5. Her ability to rebound from the slower 10th and 11th miles to finish strong suggests a solid final surge worth building on for pacing consistency in future races.
