Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Haley Rivera #32493 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Steady Pacing Highlighted by a Strong Fifth Mile Haley Rivera finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:00:53, an overall pace of 9:49 per mile. Her race unfolded in waves an opening mile at 9:59, a quicker third mile at 9:25, then a rebound to 9:59 before finding her best rhythm. That rhythm peaked in mile five, clocked at 9:08, the fastest mile of her race and a full 51 seconds quicker than her opening pace. The final mile eased back to 10:50 as she closed out the course, which finishes on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. Given the fluctuations through the middle miles, Rivera might consider working on maintaining a more even effort in future 10Ks though her ability to surge in mile five shows strong closing potential to build on.
