Steady Start Gives Way to a Gutsy Finish Liz Baylon Trejo completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 58:05, an overall pace of 9:22 per mile. Her opening mile was her fastest, clocked at 8:16, and she held a sub-9:00 pace through the first three miles. The middle miles saw a gradual easing, with mile four coming in at 9:46, before she settled back into a 9:22 pace for mile five. The closing mile was her most demanding stretch, slowing to 10:42, yet she carried her effort across the line at altitude, in a city sitting over 5,000 feet, to finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. Building a touch more consistency across the back half could help her sustain that early rhythm all the way to the finish.
