Steady Pace Fuels a Strong Finish Britney Christensen completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 54:55, an 8:51 min/mile pace. She finished 134th among women in the field of 3,071. Christensen's race showed a clear pattern of settling in before surging. After opening with a 9:14 first mile, she gradually ticked her cumulative pace down through mile four, then hit her strongest mile-plus stretch between miles four and five, clocking 8:07 to drop her overall pace to 8:46. That mile marked her fastest sustained running of the race. She eased slightly over the final stretch to close out the 10K at altitude in downtown Boulder, a fitting test given Boulder's 5,000-plus feet of elevation.
