Steady Miles Give Way to a Hard-Earned Closing Stretch Kelly Szamborski completed the 10K at the 2026 Boulderthon in 1:10:54, an 11:26 min/mile pace across the 6.2-mile course. Szamborski opened strong, clicking off her fastest mile of the race in 10:38, then held close to an 11:00 pace through the middle miles despite a natural dip to 11:50 by mile four. She answered with a strong rebound in mile five, dropping back to 10:59 before the pace eased over the final stretch to the finish on the Pearl Street Mall. Racing at over 5,000 feet of elevation, her early-mile consistency stands out as the clearest strength of the day, and a touch more evenness late could help her carry that opening rhythm all the way home next time.
