Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Pat Lown #32457 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles
Steady Early Pace Fuels a Strong 10K Finish Pat Lown ran the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 52:51, an 8:31 min/mile pace, finishing 259th overall out of the field of 3,071. Lown's race showed a strong, consistent build through the middle miles, dipping to an 8:05 pace by mile five before easing off over the final stretch. That fifth mile stood out as his fastest of the race, a solid surge before the finish. Racing through Boulder, sitting above 5,000 feet of elevation, Lown's pacing discipline through the early miles set up a well-managed effort. With consistent training, tightening that final mile could help him carry his mid-race speed all the way to the Pearl Street Mall finish.
