Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Gabriel Archibald #40940 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Teen Phenom Blazes to Division Win Gabriel Archibald crossed the line in 16:21, good for 18th overall and 15th among men in a field of 2,677 and first in the M15-19 division. That result reflects a race run with real control, building speed through the middle before finishing strong. His pace tightened through the middle mile, dropping to 4:41 the fastest mile of his race before settling to a 6:04 close that still secured the finish. At altitude in downtown Boulder, that kind of pacing discipline stands out, especially for a runner in his age group. A touch more consistency between miles one and three could sharpen the overall average further, though the result already speaks for itself.
