Strong Middle Mile Powers Steady 5K Finish Tyler Weston crossed the line in 32:35, good for a 10:30 min/mile pace across the 5K distance. His race built through a quick opening mile, surged in the second, then eased through the final stretch to the finish. The second mile stood out as his strongest of the day, dropping to 9:56 min/mile after an opening mile of 10:22 min/mile, before settling into an 11:27 pace to close. That middle-mile surge marked the fastest running of his race, a solid showing in a city that sits above 5,000 feet of elevation.
