Steady Pacing Powers a Faster Half Marathon Alisa Garry finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:52:48, improving on her 2025 result of 1:54:29 by over a minute and a half. Her early miles were her strongest, clicking off miles 1 through 4 at roughly an 8:10 pace before settling into a steadier rhythm through the middle miles. A dip near miles 7 through 9 gave way to a strong rebound at mile 12, where she posted an 8:21 split to close out the race with control. Garry's race unfolded over Boulder County backroads before finishing on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a course run at over 5,000 feet of elevation. Her ability to hold pace across the back half, despite the natural ebb in miles 7-9, speaks to solid pacing discipline. Continuing to build strength through that middle stretch could help smooth out the next effort even further.
