Fast Start, Faster Finish: Denver Runner Closes Strong in Boulder Travis Kushner crossed the line in 1:28:10, good for 112th overall and 99th among men in a field of 7,223 at the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon. That result placed him inside the top two percent of the field. Kushner opened briskly, covering the first five miles at a 6:32 pace, then eased through the middle miles as splits drifted into the 6:467:06 range. He answered with his sharpest work over the final two miles, clicking off 6:28 pace per mile from mile 11 to the finish the strongest sustained stretch of his race. That closing surge, run at altitude in a city sitting over 5,000 feet above sea level, capped a well-paced effort through downtown Boulder to the Pearl Street Mall finish.
