Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Liam Mayron #40977 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Start Fades Late in the Final Mile Liam Mayron completed the 5K in 26:55, an 8:41 per-mile pace. He picked up speed after a steady opening mile, clocking his fastest mile of the race in the second mile at 8:13, before easing back to 9:12 over the final stretch to the finish. Like every distance at this year's Boulderthon, Liam's race ended on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting stage after a race run at over 5,000 feet of altitude. His second mile was the clear highlight of the day, and a touch more consistency between miles two and three could help him carry that pace all the way to the line next time.
