Nearly Ten Minutes Faster: A Half Marathon Breakthrough Allie Foster crossed the line in 1:40:34, placing 382nd overall and 78th among women in the field of 7,223 a decisive improvement on her 1:50:02 finish at last year's Boulderthon half marathon. Her pacing stayed remarkably even through the first eleven miles, holding between 7:29 and 7:49 per mile with only a brief dip to 8:06 at mile eight. She then closed strong, running miles twelve and thirteen in 7:30 and 7:27, her fastest consecutive miles of the day. This year's half marathon course carried nearly 50% less net elevation gain than in 2026, down to 203 feet, before finishing on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. Given that lighter profile, Foster's tightly controlled effort and late surge point to strong pacing discipline worth carrying into her next race.
