Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Mccarthy Devine #30655 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Fast Start Gives Way to a Tougher Finish Mccarthy Devine ran the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 56:46, an overall pace of 9:09 per mile. He opened well, covering the first two miles in 8:44 and 7:54 the latter his fastest mile of the race before easing through miles three and four. The final two miles slowed further, with the last mile clocking 11:02, the race's toughest stretch as fatigue set in late. Every distance in this race finishes on the historic Pearl Street Mall, a fitting close to a race run at over 5,000 feet of altitude in Boulder. Devine's early pace suggests strong fitness; building a bit more endurance into the closing miles could help him carry that opening speed all the way to the Mall next time.
