Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Bill Zuetell #22633 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Strong Opening Miles Carry a Steady Half-Marathon Finish Bill Zuetell finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:42:46, averaging 7:50 per mile. His race showed a clear two-part shape: the first five miles clicked off between 7:20 and 7:26 pace, his fastest sustained stretch of the day, before easing to the 7:467:50 range for the back half as splits settled into the 8:00s. That opening stretch built enough cushion to hold a strong overall pace through the finish on the Pearl Street Mall. This year's half course carried a redesigned elevation profile, cutting net gain to 203 feet, a backdrop that suits the even, controlled effort he showed across the 13.1 miles.
