Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Owen Adams #27663 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Strong Half Debut Anchored by a Fast Opening 6 Miles Owen Adams ran 1:33:31 to finish 193rd overall and 159th among men in the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon, out of a field of 7,223. His opening six miles were the highlight, clicking off in the high 6:40s to high 6:50s and holding the cumulative pace under 7:00/mile through mile 6 before settling into the low 7:00s the rest of the way. Last year he ran the full marathon at Boulderthon in 4:32:12; stepping down to the half, he moved at nearly 3:15 per mile faster this time out. The 2026 half course carried roughly 203 feet of elevation gain, down from 384 feet previously, a lighter profile for a race run at over 5,000 feet of altitude. Adams' even second half, closing with a 6:54 final mile, reflects well-managed effort across that terrain.
