That middle mile stands out as the highlight of her race, showing a solid gear once she settled in. Handa finished her 5K in downtown Boulder, a city sitting at over 5,000 feet of elevation a detail worth keeping in mind when assessing any race effort there. With a well-paced opening two miles, she has a good foundation to build on for maintaining that rhythm through the final mile in future races.
