Steady Pace Building Fuels Strong Finish Clare Seel finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 29:21, placing fifth in the F 55-59 division. Seel's race showed a clear pattern of improvement: after an opening mile of 9:58, she picked up the pace to 9:13 for both mile two and mile three, tightening her overall pace to 9:28 min/mile by the finish. That negative-split approach, closing nearly as strong as she started, reflects well-managed effort across the distance. With the finish line on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, Seel capped her race in one of the event's signature settings, a strong showing at altitude in a city known as the Happiest City in America.
