Steady Pacing Powers a Personal-Best Half Finish Dillan Brinlee crossed in 1:23:57, finishing 66th overall and 56th among men out of the field of 7,223. That result marks his fastest Boulderthon half marathon across his four appearances at the race, improving on 1:26:45 in 2025, 1:40:49 in 2024, and 1:29:29 in 2023. His pacing stayed remarkably tight through the race, holding between 6:15 and 6:27 per mile for nearly the entire distance, with only a brief stretch in miles 7-8 drifting to 6:39-6:42 before he settled back to 6:16 over the final mile. His fastest mile came right out of the gate, covering mile one in 6:09. Running the newly redesigned 2026 half course, which cut net elevation gain to 203 feet from 384, he turned in his strongest showing yet at this Boulder race.
