Steady Pace Powers a Top-Tier Finish Connor Poole crossed the line in 1:31:19, good for 153rd overall and 129th among men in a field of 7,223. Poole's mile splits held in a tight 6:437:15 band for the entire distance, with elapsed pace never drifting beyond 7:01 min/mile. He closed strong, running his fastest miles of the race in the 12th and 13th miles at 6:43 and 6:45, pulling his overall elapsed pace back under 7:00 min/mile at the finish. That late surge came right after passing the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5, and it carried him through downtown Boulder a city sitting above 5,000 feet to the finish on the Pearl Street Mall.
