Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Alicia Brown #41908 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Start Fades Late in Steady Finish Alicia Brown completed the 5K in 1:07:37, finishing well behind her 2025 Boulderthon time of 48:41. Her race opened briskly, with a 19:54 first mile followed by an 18:42 second mile, before the pace eased considerably over the final stretch, pushing her overall time higher than last year's result. That second mile stood out as the highlight of the race, marking her fastest mile-long stretch of the day and showing a solid mid-race surge before the closing miles slowed. Brown's race concluded on the Pearl Street Mall, the historic finish line shared by every Boulderthon distance. With her pacing pattern this year, a more even effort across all three miles could help her recapture the consistency she showed in 2025.
