Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Jyszelle Martinez #26894 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Nearly 28 Minutes Faster: A Half Marathon Turnaround Martinez ran 2:18:07, cutting more than 27 minutes off her 2025 Boulderthon half marathon time of 2:45:47 and climbing from 4640th to 3036th overall out of the field. Her pace held steady through the first ten miles, hovering between 10:02 and 10:32 per mile, before easing slightly through miles 711 and then rebounding over the closing two miles to finish strong. Her fastest mile came early, mile 3 in 10:02, part of a smooth opening 5K that set the tone for the race. That consistency paid off on a 2026 half marathon course redesigned to cut net elevation gain nearly in half, from 384 to 203 feet, a notable adjustment given Boulders mile-high altitude.
