Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: James Marine #42380 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Steady Middle Mile Anchors a Solid 5K Finish James Marine completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 41:47. He opened with a 12:36 first mile, then picked up the pace to 12:01 for mile two his fastest mile of the race before easing to 15:34 over the final stretch to the finish on the Pearl Street Mall. Racing at over 5,000 feet of elevation in Boulder, Marine's even effort through the first two miles set up a respectable overall pace of 13:28 per mile. Should he look to sharpen future results, holding that mile-two rhythm through the closing stretch could be a worthwhile focus.
