Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Jennifer Green #42176 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Steady Effort Brings Jennifer Home in Boulder Jennifer Green completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 45:14. Her mile splits told the story of a race with a strong middle surge: she opened in 14:16, picked up the pace to 13:10 for mile two, then eased to 16:07 over the closing mile. That second mile was her standout stretch, showing a clear ability to shift gears mid-race. Racing in Boulder, sitting at over 5,000 feet of elevation, adds its own quiet challenge to any distance, and Green's ability to find a faster gear in the middle mile speaks well of her pacing instincts. Looking ahead, she might consider working on sustaining that mile-two rhythm through the final stretch, an approach that could help her finish even stronger while still enjoying every step of the historic Pearl Street Mall finish.
