Steady Pacing Fuels Another Personal Best in Boulder Liz Mckinney ran 1:43:25 at the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon, finishing 474th overall and 103rd among women. This marks her fastest of three Boulderthon halves, improving on 1:49:12 in 2025 and 1:56:43 in 2024 a steady year-over-year progression. Mckinney's pacing was remarkably consistent, holding between 7:53 and 8:10 per mile through the first eleven miles before surging in the final stretch. Her strongest mile came late, covering mile 12 in 7:32, part of a closing 10K where she shaved her cumulative pace down to 7:53 min/mile by the finish. That final push, coming after miles of even effort, reflects strong closing strength on a course that finishes on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder a fitting stage for her fastest half marathon finish yet at this event.
