Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Preston Mcewen #32666 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Steady Pace Through Five Miles, Strong Push to the Line Preston Mcewen covered the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 54:11, an 8:44 min/mile average. His first five miles were remarkably even, holding between 8:29 and 8:46 each, before a final mile of 9:35 closed out the race. That second mile, at 8:29, stood as his fastest of the day, anchoring a race shaped by consistency rather than a fast start or late surge. Mcewen's effort played out at over 5,000 feet of elevation, a Boulder hallmark that frames every finish here. Like all Boulderthon distances, his race ended on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting close to a well-paced 10K.
