Strong Finish Punctuated by a Late Surge Kelly Roddick covered the 10K in 1:00:51, an average pace of 9:48 per mile. Her race unfolded unevenly: after opening miles near 9:25, she eased through miles three and four in the 9:50-10:00 range before finding her rhythm again. Mile five was her strongest stretch, clocking 9:02, the fastest mile of her race, before the pace settled back for the final mile into the finish. Roddick's run took place at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, a notable backdrop for maintaining that mid-race rebound.
