Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Ainsley Coogan #42073 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers a Steady 5K Finish Ainsley Coogan covered the Boulderthon 5K in 29:46, an average pace of 9:36 per mile. Her race built momentum in the middle: after an opening mile of 10:24, she surged to 8:48 for mile twoher fastest mile of the racebefore settling to 9:41 over the closing stretch to the Pearl Street Mall finish. That second-mile push stands out as the highlight of her race, showing a strong ability to accelerate once warmed up. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet adds context to that effort. With a race under her belt, Coogan could look to carry more of that middle-mile strength into the opening stretch next time.
