Seven-Minute Pace Holds Steady Over 13 Miles Carolyn Mason ran 1:40:45 to finish the Half Marathon, a sizable improvement over her 1:47:49 in the 2024 Boulderthon Half Marathon. Her overall pace tightened from 8:13 to 7:41 per mile, and she moved from 512th to 388th overall, and from 143rd to 81st among women. Mason's cumulative pace stayed remarkably even across the race, hovering between 7:36 and 7:45 per mile from mile 3 through the finish. Her strongest stretch came in miles 5-7, where she clicked off 7:37, 7:27 and 7:35, tightening her overall pace after a slight dip in mile 4. A closing mile 13 split of 7:19 capped the race with her fastest mile, a strong sign of finishing strength on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder.
