Strong Late Kick Fuels Solid Half Marathon Finish Will Alberti covered the 2026 Boulderthon half marathon in 1:44:01, an average pace of 7:56 per mile. He finished 495th overall and 385th among men in a field of 7,223, with a 20th-place finish in the men's 15-19 division. Alberti's race built steadily: after an opening mile of 8:20, he settled into a rhythm near 8:00-8:15 through the middle miles before accelerating over the final third. His strongest stretch came from mile 10 to the finish, where he covered three miles in roughly 7:47 pace, capped by a 7:21 closing mile. That surge came after passing the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5, a fitting boost before his fastest running of the day on a course that finishes on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, at over 5,000 feet of elevation.
