Steady Start Gives Way to a Tougher Back Half Tiffany Luu completed the 10K in 1:15:49, an even-paced effort through the first three miles before the back half slowed her overall pace from 11:25 to 12:13 per mile. Her opening mile was the standout stretch of the race, clocking 11:20, the fastest mile she ran all day. From there, pace crept upward through miles four and six, each landing above 13:00, as cumulative pace drifted from the 11:20s into the low 12:00s by the finish. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Luu closed with a result that reflects disciplined early pacing even as the later miles cost her some time.
