Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Noah Stickel #30424 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Strong Start Fades Into a Gritty Finish Noah Stickel opened his 10K with two brisk miles at 8:41 and 8:40 per mile, putting him well inside the top 500 through the halfway point. The pace eased over the middle miles, settling into the 10:1111:11 range for miles three and four, before a final surge brought him home in 1:04:10. That opening pair of miles stands out as the fastest sustained stretch of the day, a strong response to Boulder's elevation of over 5,000 feet. The 10K field set off at 8:10 a.m., and like every Boulderthon distance, Noah's race ended with a finish on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. Considering the early pace he banked, there's room to experiment with a steadier middle-mile effort next time out to carry that opening rhythm further into the race.
