Steady Pace Carries Local Teen Through a Strong 10K Caleb Cartwright, 19, of Boulder, finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 56:48, an overall pace of 9:09 per mile. He opened with his fastest mile of the day at 8:49, settled into a consistent 9:019:08 cumulative pace through the middle miles, then produced his strongest stretch between miles 4 and 5, covering that mile in 8:32 before easing over the closing miles to the finish. Boulder's elevation, over 5,000 feet, makes that mile-5 surge a notable stat line. The race finished on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting close to a well-paced run.
