Steady Effort Anchors a Solid 10K Finish Ellen Durkin crossed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K line in 1:00:33, an average pace of 9:45 per mile. Her early miles set a strong foundation, and she maintained a fairly consistent rhythm through the back half of the race, closing with composure despite a late dip in pace over the final mile. Durkin's fastest mile came right out of the gate, clocking 9:12 for mile one, the quickest stretch of her race. From there, her pace settled into the 9:2010:10 range before a slightly slower final mile brought her home. Given that Boulder sits above 5,000 feet, holding that early tempo through the middle miles reflects well on her pacing strategy for the morning.
