Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Patricia Randall #40425 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers Steady 5K Finish Patricia Randall completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 31:05, an overall pace of 10:01 per mile, finishing among a field of 2,677 in downtown Boulder. Randall's race unfolded in three distinct stretches: an opening mile of 10:50, a strong middle mile at 8:45, and a closing mile of 10:37. That second mile stood out as her fastest of the race, pulling her cumulative pace down to 9:47 before settling to a 10:03 average by the second mile mark. Running at over 5,000 feet of elevation, Randall's even effort across the final two miles reflects solid pacing discipline after a measured start. A slightly more assertive opening mile could help her carry that middle-mile strength even further next time.
