Steady Pace Holds Firm Despite Late Fade From Peak Years Frankie Medina finished the half marathon in 1:51:40, a slower result than his 1:50:25 in 2024 and his 1:46:25 in 2025. His pacing followed a strong opening third reaching mile 3 in 7:46, his fastest mile of the day before drifting into the high-8:00s and low-9:00s through miles 7 through 9. He rallied over mile 12, clocking 7:50, before easing into the finish. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Medina's effort held together across a course that finishes on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. His early-mile speed suggests capacity for a more even push through the middle miles, where the pace loosened before his late surge.
